These Terms & Conditions ("Agreement") govern the relationship between Gavel Studio ("we," "us," "our") and any individual or entity ("Client," "you," "your") that purchases or uses our website design and development services. By submitting the onboarding form, completing a purchase, or otherwise engaging our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms in their entirety.

If you do not agree to these terms, do not proceed with a purchase or submission of the onboarding form.

  1. Services

1.1 Scope of Work

Gavel Studio™ provides website design, development, and related digital services for boutique law firms and solo attorneys. The specific deliverables for each project are determined by the plan selected at the time of purchase — either the Basic (One-Page Website) plan or the Pro (Website + Intake Assistant) plan — as described on our pricing page at the time of purchase.

1.2 Service Description

All websites are designed and built using the Framer platform. Each project includes the features listed under the purchased plan. Any features, pages, or functionality not explicitly included in the selected plan are outside the scope of this Agreement and will require a separate quote.

1.3 Gavel Studio Pro™

The Pro plan includes the Gavel Studio Pro™ intake system, which comprises three features: Consultation Booking Request, Intake Chatbot, and Secure Document Upload. These features are tools to assist with lead capture and client intake. Gavel Studio makes no guarantee as to the volume of leads, inquiries, or clients generated through these features. Results depend entirely on factors outside our control, including the Client's marketing efforts, referral network, and overall visibility.

1.4 No Legal Services

Gavel Studio™ is a website design and development service. We do not provide legal advice, legal services, or legal representation of any kind. Nothing in our services, templates, or copywriting constitutes legal counsel. The Client is solely responsible for ensuring that all content published on their website complies with applicable laws, bar association rules, and professional conduct regulations.

1.5 Changes to Scope

Any requests for work outside the original scope of the selected plan — including additional pages, structural redesigns, or new features — will be assessed separately and quoted in writing before work begins. Gavel Studio is under no obligation to fulfill out-of-scope requests under the original purchase price.

1.6 Resource Library Content

Gavel Studio™ provides a platform for the display and organization of client resources. Users acknowledge that Gavel Studio™ does not provide, draft, or vet the substantive legal content housed within the 'Resource Library' section. The User (Lawyer/Firm) retains full responsibility for the accuracy, legality, and maintenance of all content uploaded to this section.

  1. Client Responsibilities

2.1 Onboarding Form

The Client is responsible for completing the onboarding form accurately and in full. The build process begins upon receipt of the completed onboarding form. Incomplete, inaccurate, or delayed submissions may affect the project timeline, for which Gavel Studio™ bears no responsibility.

2.2 Content Accuracy

The Client is solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of all practice-specific information provided through the onboarding form, including but not limited to practice area descriptions, attorney credentials, bios, and any other professional details. Gavel Studio™ will use this information to generate website content but does not verify its accuracy or legal compliance.

2.3 Review and Approval

The Client will be given the opportunity to review the completed website before it goes live. The Client is responsible for thoroughly reviewing all content, imagery, and functionality during this review period. This includes up to two (2) rounds of revisions to the website copy to ensure it aligns with the Client’s voice. Once the Client approves the site for launch—or the two revision rounds are exhausted—the project is considered complete and delivered. Any further adjustments post-launch may be subject to additional fees.

2.4 Timely Communication

Delays caused by the Client — including failure to complete the onboarding form, failure to respond to review requests, or failure to supply requested materials — will extend the project timeline accordingly. Gavel Studio™ is not liable for any delays resulting from the Client's failure to communicate or provide required information in a timely manner.

2.5 Framer Account

The Client is responsible for creating and maintaining their own Framer account for hosting purposes. Gavel Studio™ will provide guidance on this process, but the Client's Framer account, subscription, and all associated billing are the sole responsibility of the Client.

  1. Payment

3.1 Payment in Full

Full payment is required at the time of purchase, prior to the commencement of any work. Work will not begin until payment has been received and confirmed.

3.2 Pricing

All prices are as listed on the Gavel Studio™ pricing page at the time of purchase. Gavel Studio™ reserves the right to change its pricing at any time. Price changes will not affect purchases already completed.

3.3 Hosting Fees

Hosting fees are not included in the purchase price. The Client is responsible for subscribing to and paying for their own Framer hosting plan directly through Framer. These fees are set by Framer and are subject to change at Framer's discretion. Gavel Studio™ does not collect, manage, or mark up hosting fees.

3.4 Additional Work

Any work outside the scope of the original plan, including but not limited to additional pages, design changes, copy revisions beyond the included adjustments, or new features, will be quoted and invoiced separately. No additional work will commence without written agreement on scope and price.

  1. Refunds & Cancellations

4.1 All Sales Final Upon Submission

All purchases are final once the onboarding form has been submitted. By submitting the onboarding form, the Client acknowledges that work has commenced and that resources and time have been allocated to their project.

4.2 No Guaranteed Refunds

Gavel Studio does not offer guaranteed refunds once work has begun. We do not offer refunds on the basis of dissatisfaction with the final design, provided that the design was delivered in accordance with the selected plan and theme.

4.3 Good Faith Resolution

While refunds are not guaranteed, Gavel Studio™ is committed to delivering a result the Client is proud of. If the Client believes the delivered work does not meet the agreed scope, they should contact us at support@gavelstudio.com. Each situation will be reviewed and handled individually and in good faith. Gavel Studio™ reserves the right to determine the appropriate resolution, which may include revisions, partial credit, or other remedies at our sole discretion.

4.4 Cancellation Before Submission

If a Client wishes to cancel prior to submitting the onboarding form, a full refund will be issued. Once the onboarding form has been submitted, the cancellation and refund policy in sections 4.1–4.3 applies.

  1. Timelines & Delivery

5.1 Estimated Timeline

Gavel Studio™ aims to deliver completed websites within 7 days of receiving the completed onboarding form. This is an estimate and not a guaranteed delivery date.

5.2 Delays by Client

If the Client fails to provide required information, respond to review requests, or communicate in a timely manner, the project timeline will be extended accordingly. Gavel Studio™ is not liable for delays caused by the Client.

5.3 Delays by Gavel Studio

If an unexpected delay occurs on our end, we will notify the Client promptly and provide a revised estimated delivery date. Gavel Studio™ shall not be liable for any losses, damages, or expenses arising from project delays.

5.4 Launch

The website will not be launched until the Client has reviewed and approved it. Approval may be given in writing via email or through our designated review process. Once approval is given, the project is considered complete and delivered.

  1. Intellectual Property

6.1 Client Content Ownership

The Client retains full ownership of all content they provide — including text, images, logos, and other materials submitted through the onboarding form.

6.2 Website Content Upon Delivery

Upon receipt of full payment, the Client is granted full use of the delivered website, including the copy and imagery generated by Gavel Studio™ for that project.

6.3 Template & Design Ownership

The underlying template structure, design framework, layout architecture, and any proprietary components developed by Gavel Studio™ remain the exclusive intellectual property of Gavel Studio. The Client may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, or transfer the template structure to any third party.

6.4 Portfolio Rights

Gavel Studio™ reserves the right to display the completed website in our portfolio, case studies, and marketing materials, unless the Client requests otherwise in writing prior to launch.

6.5 Gavel Studio Credit

All websites include a small "Designed by Gavel Studio™" credit in the footer. The Client may request removal of this credit, and Gavel Studio™ will accommodate such requests at its discretion.

6.6 AI-Generated Content

Website copy and imagery are generated using AI tools and reviewed by Gavel Studio™'s team. The Client accepts responsibility for reviewing all delivered content for accuracy and compliance with applicable professional and legal standards before the site goes live.

  1. Third-Party Platforms

7.1 Framer Platform

All websites are built and hosted on the Framer platform, a third-party service provider. Gavel Studio™ has no control over Framer's pricing, availability, terms of service, or technical performance. Gavel Studio™ is not liable for any issues arising from Framer's platform, including but not limited to outages, data loss, pricing changes, or discontinuation of service.

7.2 Client's Framer Relationship

The Client's relationship with Framer — including their account, subscription, billing, and data — is governed entirely by Framer's own terms of service. Gavel Studio™ is not a party to that relationship.

7.3 Other Third-Party Tools

The Pro plan includes third-party tools for consultation booking, intake chatbot functionality, and document upload. Gavel Studio™ is not responsible for the ongoing performance, availability, or pricing of these tools. Any issues with third-party tools must be addressed directly with the relevant provider.

7.4 No Export

Because Framer is a hosted platform, websites cannot be exported for self-hosting or downloaded as standalone files. The Client acknowledges and accepts this limitation at the time of purchase.

  1. Disclaimers & Liability

8.1 No Guarantee of Results

Gavel Studio™ makes no guarantee of any specific business outcome resulting from the use of our services, including but not limited to increased website traffic, search engine rankings, lead generation, client acquisition, or revenue. SEO optimization is included as a foundational feature but does not guarantee specific rankings or results.

8.2 No Legal Compliance Guarantee

Gavel Studio™ does not guarantee that the delivered website complies with any specific legal, regulatory, or bar association requirements applicable to the Client's jurisdiction or practice area. The Client is solely responsible for ensuring their website meets all applicable professional and legal obligations.

8.3 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Gavel Studio™'s total liability to the Client for any claim arising out of or related to this Agreement shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Client for the specific project in question. In no event shall Gavel Studio™ be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of clients, loss of data, or business interruption.

8.4 Platform Liability

Gavel Studio™ is not liable for any losses or damages arising from the use, unavailability, or failure of the Framer platform or any other third-party tool or service.

8.5 Content Liability

The Client is solely responsible for all content published on their website. Gavel Studio™ is not liable for any claims arising from inaccurate, misleading, or non-compliant content, including content generated by AI and approved by the Client.

  1. Support & Maintenance

9.1 Post-Launch Support Period

For the first 14 days following the launch of the website, Gavel Studio™ will address minor copy and design adjustments at no additional charge. This post-launch support period is limited to corrections and minor refinements within the original scope of the project.

9.2 Transfer of Ownership

At the conclusion of the 14-day post-launch support period, the website is formally transferred to the Client. From this point, the Client assumes full responsibility for the ongoing maintenance, hosting, and management of the website.

9.3 Out-of-Scope Support

Support requests beyond the 14-day period, or requests for changes outside the original scope, will be assessed and quoted separately. Gavel Studio™ is under no obligation to provide ongoing support beyond the post-launch period unless a separate maintenance agreement is in place.

9.4 Maintenance Plans

Gavel Studio™ offers optional ongoing maintenance plans covering content updates, design refreshes, and general site management. These are separate agreements and are not included in the original purchase price.

9.5 Platform Support

Issues related to the Framer platform — including uptime, server performance, and hosting — must be addressed directly with Framer. Gavel Studio™ does not provide support for platform-level issues.

9.6 Response Times

Gavel Studio™ aims to respond to all support inquiries within 24–48 business hours. Response times are estimates and not guarantees.

  1. . Confidentiality

10.1 Client Information

Gavel Studio™ will treat all information provided by the Client through the onboarding process as confidential and will not share it with third parties except as necessary to deliver the agreed services.

10.2 No NDA

Unless a separate non-disclosure agreement is signed, Gavel Studio™ is not bound by confidentiality beyond the reasonable protection of Client information described in section 10.1.

  1. Termination

11.1 Termination by Client

The Client may terminate this Agreement at any time by providing written notice to Gavel Studio™. If termination occurs after the onboarding form has been submitted, the refund and cancellation terms in Section 4 apply.

11.2 Termination by Gavel Studio

Gavel Studio™ reserves the right to terminate this Agreement at any time if the Client is found to be in breach of these terms, engages in abusive or inappropriate conduct toward our team, or provides false or misleading information. In the event of termination by Gavel Studio™ due to Client breach, no refund will be issued.

11.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, Gavel Studio™ will cease all work on the project. Any work completed up to the point of termination remains the property of Gavel Studio™ until full payment has been received.

  1. . General Provisions

12.1 Entire Agreement

This Agreement, together with the selected plan description and any written correspondence confirming the project scope, constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes all prior discussions, representations, or understandings.

12.2 Amendments

Gavel Studio™ reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The version in effect at the time of purchase applies to that transaction. Continued use of our services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

12.3 Severability

If any provision of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

12.4 No Waiver

Failure by Gavel Studio™ to enforce any provision of this Agreement shall not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it in the future.

12.5 Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Wyoming, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from this Agreement shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
